I left off writing in this blog for a couple years because I was doing other things and wasn't thinking about Rome. Now I've moved (to Toronto) and have no television so I'm interested in the City in a way I haven't been for awhile. There are always two cities for me; Rome and wherever I am. So now it's Rome and Toronto.
More particularly, I'm reading about Rome again. And thinking about it in ways I haven't before because I'm trying to find my way in Toronto, and to understand what Toronto means I have to look back to Rome.
